
What is Stress?
There are many different definitions of stress. Some define stress to be a disturbance of a person’s normal psychological or physiological state. Others consider stress to be a situational factor or distressing circumstance external to the person. Some use the word "stress" as a term equivalent to "arousal" and "activation"; it is also used as a term for "bad effects".

So happiness - isn't that the thing that all of us strive to find and keep? Nobody is happy all of the time, but some people are definitely more fulfilled than others. Studies on what makes people happy reveal that it doesn't have much to do with material goods or high achievement; it seems to whittle down to your outlook on life, and the quality of your relationships with the people around you. ]]>

People who do not watch what they eat and do not regulary excersie are reported to have more stress, more pain and high leves of uncomfort. Excercise is important to your health.

Control over our lives is something we all want. But in a universe in which everything is mutually interdependent, none of us has absolute control over anything except ourselves (and even over ourselves our control is indirect and partial only). Instead, what we all have in abundance is influence, the power of which seems to function linearly: the closer personally and physically others are to us, the greater our influence over them, and vice versa.

Money is not the key to happiness. More ‘stuff’ is not the key to happiness. Winning the lottery and spending the rest of your life on a tropical island – while intoxicating to the ear – is not the key to happiness.

The saying goes: The expert in anything was once a beginner in everything. Truer words were never spoken.

Few people like to admit that they’re afraid to do something. They also don’t enjoy admitting that they’d rather not work toward improvement. The way out? The always-available excuse.
Routine is Murder
Years ago, before starting the Motivation123 Web site, I had pockets full of plans and ideas. My mind was in a constant state of activity.
As for my reality, nothing ever changed. Nothing in my life went in the directions I had hoped for. It got to the point that I began to doubt whether or not a better life was even possible. Could I change?
